Join us Tuesday, October 23, 2018 for Oregon’s Finest Education Series featuring the folks from Quill and their class on Microdosing!

Ian Shaughnessy and Christopher Schiel are co-founders of Rare Industries, the company behind Quill and OCO brands. Together they develop products by exploring progressive delivery systems that help new and experienced users alike find fresh ways to incorporate cannabis into their daily lives.

The Quill was developed primarily as a tool for microdosing cannabinoids, whether users realize it or not. It’s intuitive, buttonless design is purposefully approachable, and the instructions provided with each Quill guide users to observe titration by taking a gentle puff then waiting several minutes to notice effects. As we say on the insert: You can always take another puff, but you can’t put it back.

This session will explore the history of microdosing across historical, contextual, and chemical contexts. We’ll walk through language and concepts that enable users to see how cannabinoids and terpenes work with their own body, and we’ll explore how titration can vary across user groups. As we explore titration, we’ll classify delivery methods by “activation time” and illustrate potential user profiles that could benefit from microdosing practice. The goal of the session will be to broaden the vocabulary we use when exploring use cases of cannabis with consumers, and ideally these concepts will inspire the imagination of cannabis users themselves to feel comfortable when trying new things in cannabis.

Find more information on the Quill at quill.me and feel free to send preliminary questions to hello@quill.me We’ll be happy to incorporate those questions into our presentation. See you soon!
